LAS VEGAS — A two-week old baby named Katie has been reunited with the parents of her biological mother, who died nearly two years ago.
Katie was the second of Katie’s siblings, along with her twin brother, who was born three months ago.
She had been diagnosed with autism at the age of four, but her mother had no idea Katie had a problem until Katie was born.
Katie and her mother, Michelle Doolittle, met on a fishing trip in Florida, and Doolitt says Katie’s mother was so happy for Katie.
“Katie didn’t have to worry about her,” Doolitte says.
Doolitt and Dolly say Katie and Dixie are very close, and the twins have become inseparable.
Katie is spending her first year of her life with Dixie, and is now starting to learn to walk and talk.
Katie’s biological mother died when Katie was six months old.
