What’s in a Name?

The Lad (pronounced: LEE-dee-kah) is a series of stories by David Foster Wallace that are set in the fictional fictional town of Edith Finch.

The story focuses on the lives of the people of Ediths family, including the Edith family, the Finch children, the Ediths daughters, the sisters Mary, Mary Jane, and Mary, and the three younger siblings, Mary Ann, Mary Louise, and Annabelle.

The series is based on the novels The Big Sleep by David Sedaris and the TV series, Edith and Her Sisters, The Big Lie by Alison Bechdel, The Girl on the Train by Mary Robinette Kowal, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Lewis Carroll.

Wallace wrote the novelizations and TV series and directed the feature film.

Wallace died in 2018 at the age of 84.
