How Amazon is building an empire of trees

The company’s plans to mine coal from an area of the Amazon known as “the forest” could affect its plans to sell its vast forest reserves to foreign buyers, environmentalists say.

(AP Photo/Evan Vucci) AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Amazon is buying an area on the border of Peru that was home to some of the world’s last great trees and is building a network of artificial trees and shrubs to mimic them.

The company, Amazon’s first overseas investment, has acquired land near a major forest and plans to use it to grow trees in a large-scale project.

Its plans are in line with those of China, which has long sought to develop natural areas of the South American Amazon, but has been stymied by land ownership disputes.

Amazon spokesman Ryan Wills said the project will help the company expand its business by creating a sustainable forest, and to reduce its carbon footprint.

“We’ve been working for the last 10 years to protect our forests, and we’re very excited to continue to do so,” Wills told The Associated Press.

“It’s not just a matter of money, it’s a matter for us to take care of our natural environment.”

Amazon’s plan could have big environmental and social implications, especially as it continues to develop a massive network of forests around the world.

It would give the company the largest-scale commercial operations in the world, and could make it the world leader in forest-related technology.

The project also has the potential to benefit the region’s indigenous people, whose traditional forest uses are in jeopardy due to deforestation.

It’s unclear whether the company will continue to build trees from existing sites in Peru or if it will acquire a large portion of its land in the region.

Amazon has said it will buy some land that is already in use by other companies and is currently building a new forest there.

Amazon says it will use the land to build a new, larger-scale forest, to use the existing forest to build more trees, and that the forests will be planted in areas that are not used for farming, such as protected areas.

Amazon is also developing a carbon capture system to store carbon and store it in trees.

Wills said Amazon would likely use a third of the forest in its plan to make the new forest more sustainable, which could include using trees that are harvested from the land as a feedstock for a new plant or plant variety.

“I think it’s very important for us, we need to do a lot of things in the Amazon to protect the forest,” he said.

Amazon’s forest reserves in Peru, which are about 100 square miles, cover more than 5,000 square miles and are home to more than 4 million trees.

The country’s forests have been shrinking since the 1990s and its natural resources have been under pressure as a result.

Wills says the company plans to build new forests that have already been planted and to develop them in areas of existing forests that are still under use.

“In our case, the forest is already under use and we’ll do something to preserve it,” he told The AP.

Walls said Amazon will pay for the forest through royalties and other taxes and will also create a system of royalties and taxes that will encourage people to work on the land and to make use of it.

Amazon said in a statement that the land will not affect its activities.

It said it expects the project to bring jobs to the region and will help it “provide for a sustainable and balanced ecosystem.”
